Cold River delta
A small delta has formed at the mouth of the Cold River. From this spot, looking upstream along the Deerfield River, one sees what is a side channel of the Deerfield, formed by the river encircling an island. This spot is accessible via a nature trail in Mohawk Trail State Forest.
