Near Hinesburg Road

Upstream view of Green River, from bridge across the river, about 500 feet south of the intersection with Hinesburg Road. From the mouth of the river up until this reach, the river has been flowing north to south. But a few hundred feet downsream from here, the river takes a sharp turn. From the headwaters, about 6 miles usptream, to this spot the river runs west to east.

Looking down at the Green River from the bridge.  During low flow periods, the Green River often runs exceptionally clear.

Downstream view. At the very end of this stretch, the river turns sharply right and begins flowing south for the remainder of its journey to the Deerfield River.
