River and fluvial deposits

Green River in a forested reach. Green River Road is to right of photo. Fluvial deposits have built up on the left bank, establishing a pocket-size beach. These sediments appear to range in size from fairly fine sands to large cobbles. The right bank has larger cobbles and boulders, some of which where apparently deposited by humans, to protect Green River Road, which is just off to the right.
