A boulder-strewn reach of the Deerfield River, along Forest Road 71 (AKA Somerset Road) in the Green Mountain National Forest. This spot is just below a braided reach, the very bottom of which can be seen in the pohoto.  Note the side channel coming in from the left, mid distance.
